Another shot of the Bounty HMS but this one is a close-up of the figurehead. The figurehead was the first image that the Tahitians ever saw of an English woman. More about this interesting story can be read here. Photograph was shot in HDR. Kinda tricky shooting with a telephoto and trying to keep everything still. Especially on a windy day. Lucky for me Photomatix’s aligning feature does a excellent job of lining up all the exposures. When I shot this photo I already had this textured image in my head. Unfortunately duplicating what I saw in my head was much harder in Photoshop!
